One of the best books I have read in a long time!

In the Land of Invisible Women: A Female Doctor's Journey in the Saudi KingdomIn the Land of Invisible Women: A Female Doctor’s Journey in the Saudi Kingdom by Qanta A. Ahmed

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I guess you either love this book or hate it. I loved it. It was one of the best books I have read in a while. I love all the detail and I didn’t feel like it dragged on and on about the same thing. I was fascinated with every single part of the culture in Saudi Arabia. I loved reading about all of her adventures with the Saudi people. I would highly recommend this book.

This was a fantastic book. I actually felt like I was there with the women. It is shocking how things were not that long ago in the deep South.

Book 5 of May! Diary of a Mad Fat Girl

Diary of a Mad Fat GirlDiary of a Mad Fat Girl by Stephanie McAfee
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was just ok. I thought it was going to be hysterical and it was funny but kind of a let down. I still read it pretty quickly and never really would have been able to put it down and not come back. Overall – I would recommend it as a filler if you just can’t find something else to read. Might be a good no brainer airplane read.

4th Book of May – Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3)Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another fantastic book in the Hunger Games trilogy. Collins was clearly trying to keep this book going with the same kind of momentum as the first two and she succeeded -until- the end but it had to end somewhere right? I appreciated the afterthought of the future at the end because I was going to have to do some serious imagining.

I really loved this book. I think Tina Fey is hysterical though. It jumped around a lot but my easily sidetracked brain not only followed along perfectly but I enjoyed the constant motion of the book. I laughed out loud more times than I can count and had complete strangers thinking I was very odd. It was a nice light read. Nothing super substantial but interesting anyway.

This was an interesting but slightly boring read. It took me ages to read it because I kept falling asleep! But really it had interesting points!
